Hum News is a Pakistani Urdu news channel and part of the Hum Network. Launched in May 2018 to differentiate it from other news channels and break the current news culture, and with the moto 'Agay ki Soch' the main purpose of Hum news is not only to highlight current issues but also to suggest solutions to key issues it grapples with our youth.
The channel began broadcasting on May 11, 2018. Hum News has offices in five major Pakistani cities - Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta and Peshawar, with reporters in every major Pakistani city center. Arrangements with special correspondents enable Hum News to cover stories from the world's greatest cities.
The current schedule of Hum News on weekdays consists mainly of live news programming during the daytime, followed by in-depth news, news and analytics in the evenings and prime time.
Being one of the youngest news channels in Pakistan, Hum News focuses on a younger demographic.
Hum News was the first channel to air First Lady Bushra Bibi's interview, besides Hum News made programs with President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, governors and chief ministers of provinces and several federal ministers. Hum News has a very versatile lineup that includes a variety of infotainment, political, religious and social programming.
